Mama’s Gotta Have A MovieNoodle Valentine’s Day Giveaway
Valentine’s Day. A night of romance. A night of adventure. A night of…folding laundry?
Well, when you have young children Valentine’s Day is often just another night. Who can afford a night out these days? Babysitting? Dinner? Movie? Let’s admit it, after (ahem garble whatcha cha) years of marriage, Valentine’s Day can start to seem like just another day.
I read this article in The New York Times the other day (and I am so NOT the kind of person who usually starts a sentence, “did you see that article in The Times…”) about marriage and what it takes to keep a marriage alive after (achoo, burp, snarfle) years. You can take a look at it here but let me sum it up by sharing the title: “That Loving Feeling Takes a Lot of Work.” The article asserts that the happiness boost that comes with marriage only lasts two years. After that we become habituated. And to keep things alive, it takes a little effort.
So if you’re thinking that Valentine’s Day is just too much trouble or expense this year, why not consider a special night at home. Put the kids down, pray that they stay down, and then enjoy some special time alone. Maybe play a board game you used to love. Maybe share a special dessert or do one of our favorites, a crazy TV show marathon and watch four episodes of whatever it is that floats your boat these days.
Or you could try a romantic movie night right in your own Lazyboys with a Valentine’s Day gift box from Movie Noodle! How fun would it be to order one for your spouse, have it arrive and then open it together and unwrap the fun. Each Valentine’s Day gift box comes complete with a giftwrapped Valentine’s Day DVD of your choice, 3 bags of microwave popcorn, 1 movie theater popcorn tub (and you know it tastes better out of that tub), 1 16 ounce coke or sprite, 2 boxes of movie theater candy, 1 pack of Hershey’s kisses, 1 box of Necco hearts, 2 lollypops, 1 chocolate rose, and a personalized note from you. Bring your own bubbly.
What a thoughtful and affordable way to show your spouse that even after more than two years you still feel the happiness boost! That’s something Mama’s definitely gotta have.
And to get one lucky reader’s Valentine’s Day started off right, we’re giving away on Movie Noodle Valentine’s Day Package! Want to enter? Enter via our easy Rafflecopter widget below!
