BabiesGottaHave It was created for real moms by a real mom…with no agenda other than to share the knowledge that wiser women than myself have passed on to me, make you forget how much various parts of your body have been hurting since you started all this, and commiserate. Each short video post features me and/or my baby demonstrating and lauding the benefits of a given baby must-have. My baby is currently fifteen months old. Needless to say, when I press “record” I have no idea what she will do. And I have to say, despite the fact that I’m a professional actress and have spent years talking to strangers for very small amounts of money, she’s really the star of the show. Cue massive amounts of drool. She cracks me the heck up.
I’ve really learned that having a baby can be a remarkably lonely experience. I’m never alone…and yet I feel, well, kinda alone. I knew when I signed up for this job that I was in for it. What exactly “it” was remained to be seen…but other mothers smiled knowingly and handed me their cell phone numbers on the backs of wet and goopy napkins. Since then, I have learned that providing you and your baby with the right stuff can help tremendously. Not necessarily the hottest, hippest, coolest stuff. Though I gotta say, I like that stuff too. But the stuff that just really genuinely, honest to goodness makes each second alone in your home with your baby easier, healthier or more fun. Though I call them the “latest and greatest baby must-haves” they really aren’t late. Just great. Essentials.
